Our mobile software has been optimised for iPhone and Android smartphones, so you can open and close positions, view live prices, and place and amend orders even while you’re away from your computer. You can also view charts and manage your account: all the key trading functions of the desktop platform are replicated on the mobile platform.

You will need a live Investors Intelligence Spread Betting account to use this app. You cannot access this app with a Investors Intelligence Spread Betting demo account. Warning: Losses can exceed deposits.

Get Started

First visit Google Play for Android devices, or the App Store for Apple devices.

Search for ‘investorsintelligence’ and download the Investors Intelligence Spread Betting trading app to your smartphone or tablet. When you open the app enter your usual username and password and you’re ready to trade.

Now you can:

  • Check our live prices and monitor your positions
  • Open and close positions
  • Place, amend and delete orders
  • View charts and add indicators
  • Access your Watchlists

Quickstart Guide

To access the main menu, tap the menu button (Android devices) or use the bottom navigation (iPhone).

From the main menu, use the Markets page to search for particular markets.

Select a market to bring up your options:

  • Open a trade ticket
  • Open an order ticket
  • View market information
  • Create a price chart

Or tap the arrow at the top-right to add the market to one of your watchlists.

The trade and order tickets work in just the same way as the trade and order tickets on the desktop platform.
Also from the main menu you can:

  • Access your portfolios
  • View, edit and close your open positions
  • View, edit and delete your orders
  • View your account details and statement

What version of iOS do I need to use the trading app?

The app can run on iOS 6.1.4 or higher but we recommend iOS 7.0 or higher for optimum performance.

How secure is the trading app?

Our iPhone trading app has been developed using the same encryption technology as our desktop platform. The app is ultra secure and has been rigorously tested. All data exchanged is fully encrypted to the same level as on our desktop platform.

When using the iPhone trading app your username, password and account number are extremely sensitive pieces of information. It is your obligation to keep them confidential and by downloading this software you agree not to disclose them to any other person other than a person duly authorised by you.

You acknowledge and agree that London Capital Group is entitled to assume that any instruction transmitted via the trading app using your account details has been transacted by you or by a person duly authorised by you and is therefore at your risk. You must immediately inform us if you are aware or suspect that a third party has had access to your username, account number or password or if you suspect that any person other than you or any duly authorised third party is dealing on your account.

How do I install the trading app on iPhone?

Go to the App Store with your device and search for ‘capitalspreads’. Tap to install the free app directly from the App Store. Once installed you can log in using your usual username and password (data charges may apply).

How do I view live prices on the trading app?

Once you’re logged in, tap Markets on the bottom menu to bring up a choice of market types. Either choose a category or use the Search box to bring up the prices you want to see.

How much data will I use when trading on the app?

Data usage varies based on how much you are trading and the number of price updates being published. We send all data in the app in the smallest size possible.

What happens if I receive a call or alert while using the app?

Your iPhone will still be able to receive inbound voice and SMS traffic. If you receive a phone call and decide to answer it the app will continue running in the background. However, it is important to remember that, if the app remains inactive for a maximum of three minutes, you will be automatically logged out, so will need to log back in.

What happens if I lose connectivity while using the app?

The app will continue to run if networks drop out (Wi-Fi then 4G/3G and so on) but become progressively slower. If all connectivity is lost the app will stop updating as your iPhone searches for a network. The app will reconnect automatically when the network returns. If you are making a transaction when you lose connectivity, first check whether you have received a confirmation. You can also check recent transactions on the Positions screen of the app. If you are at all unsure whether a transaction has gone through, please call our dealing desk on +44 (0)20 7456 7010.

If I get an error message what should I do?

If you encounter an error while using the app, please call our dealing desk immediately on +44 (0)20 7456 7010. To ensure optimum performance please make sure you have the latest version of our software installed and the latest version of iOS, and the best network connection possible.

Yes, the app is compatible with iPad, and will work on iOS 7.
